    Presentation

The Protestant Theology research unit (Théologie protestante, UR 4378) brings together 3 research topics that reflect the diversity of the field of Protestant theology (biblical, historical, systematic and practical disciplines). Each topic of research and each team working on the topic in question carry out projects which, while strictly disciplinary, are carried out with a constant concern for interdisciplinarity (both within and outside the field of theology). Since 2009, a cross-disciplinary seminar has brought together the various research topics around a common theme. Teacher-researchers and doctoral students from all the disciplines represented meet for half-day seminars (2 per academic year) to listen to and discuss the various contributions on one aspect of the theme. The contributions are enriched by the input of participants and revisited at a later date. At the end of the project, a joint publication is produced that brings together the texts resulting from this work. The subject chosen for the period 2023-2028 is "Memory at work" ("La mémoire à l'œuvre"). Several members of the unit manage the editing of the Revue d'Histoire et de Philosophie Religieuses, an internationally renowned periodical in theology and religious sciences.
